Music Together LLC, a curriculum pioneer in early childhood music and movement education, was honored during the annual Association of Educational Publishers Summit on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, with the 2010 Distinguished Achievement Award in the preschool arts curriculum category for its Music Together Family Favorites Songbook for Teachers.
For more than four decades, the AEP Awards have recognized outstanding teaching and learning resources. One of the largest and longest-running awards programs for educational products, the AEP Awards program aim to give credit and recognition to the organizations that are leading the way in the field of educational products and to set benchmarks to which the rest of the industry can aspire.
Representing Music Together at the AEP awards ceremony in Washington DC, Music Together Founder/Director Ken Guilmartin said, "This honor reflects our commitment to provide the highest quality early childhood music curriculum available for children aged birth through kindergarten, including those with special needs. We are thrilled to receive such a major educational publishing honor."
